Nice Information for Libelous Bloggers In all places!
Over on the Volokh Conspiracy, the person himself, Eugene Volokh (left), experiences on Arthaud v. Fuglie, a case by which plaintiff alleged that he had been defamed by a weblog put up that was revealed in 2018. Plaintiff didn’t uncover the put up till 2021 and sued inside weeks of discovery. North Dakota’s Supreme Courtroom dominated that the two-year statute of limitations had lapsed. The statute of limitations runs from the time of publication, not from the time of discovery.
This can be a boon to all bloggers, particularly these whose posts are hardly ever found. We really feel newly empowered to take away the gloves!
